Giving your business a blog, a Twitter page, and a Facebook page can really add to your business. Also, do you have a physical store? If you do, look into the Foursquare App which allows users to check-in to your establishment. Once they do,…

I'm a big fan of blogging for an online presence, mostly because I think it's fun, but also it's quite easy to do these days. You could post photos of your products, info about harvesting, etc. and it gives you a place to trade links…

I love Arrowhead Mills for bread products. Now I come to think of it most of my grocery shopping comes from a brand owned by the Hain company. The soups by Imagine Foods are great too.

Your reasons make sense, and it would be daft to deprove yourself of bananas because they're not available. Someone sent me a list of fruit and vegetables which are considered fine to eat if not organic. Luckily asparagus is on it, as I love…

It's possible that the attention could out a spotlight onto others who sell or distribute raw milk. There's nothing like a good old moral panic to get that ball rolling! But considering that much of the media attention favors people having…

Social networking is a great way to get information out there. There are a few members of my family who already advertise their home business on Facebook with great success.

Have you considered pairing with local farmers to sell your products in their farmers' market stall? You could also look into co-ops in your area to see if your items can be sold through the co-op. Depending on what you are selling, you can…

How do you market your organic business?

One of the reasons I got into living an organic lifestyle was for the simplicity of it. I wanted to live a life closer to nature, rather than be a slave to the modern lifestyle. Now I am growing my business I can see I need to spend more time online, so far being here is my only real experience of that.If there are other ways to let people know about my business I'd like to try them. Word of mouth is a good option and it works, albeit slowly. I have also thought about printed flyers, but would…See More

The whole thing is both scary and infuriating. I was wanred to be careful about what I plant from now on. This was by a concerned friend who heard GM grown food can infect your own crops within a five mile radius! The trick is to try to grow…

My parents have a service like this and they love it. I can't believe the great goodies they get! They also get some surprise items in the package they get, and they have a lot of fun coming up with creative new recipes with their goodies.

I buy from my local farmer's market because, although there are a few services like you mention in my area, they are forced to charge more due to the delivery costs. For those people who don't live near to a farmer's market, it's…

It is also possible to be inspected and monitored, which gains you certification. This should provide peace of mind for concerned customers. Of course the term 'organic' is quite wide, so it's worth doing some research and asking a…

Before I started growing my own food, I used a service like this. It wasn't home-delivered though; we had to go to the farm to pick it up ourselves.
